Today, Monday, will be a mostly dry day, but some mist, drizzle and patchy fog is forecast in places at first.

Most places look set to become dry if rather cloudy, but some bright or possibly sunny breaks could develop in some areas.

Highest temperatures will range between 9 to 11 degrees Celsius in moderate west backing southwest breezes.

Tonight will be misty with patchy drizzle and fog in places, but many areas will hold dry tonight, according to Met Eireann.

Cloud is forecast in many areas but some breaks may develop. Lowest temperatures will vary between 5 to 8 degrees Celsius, though values could fall to 3 or 4 degrees where breaks in cloud occur, mostly in parts of the south.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, looks set to be mostly dry and rather cloudy, but some bright or possibly short sunny breaks could develop in parts.

Some patchy rain and drizzle will occur here and there, mostly on hills and near some coasts as maximum temperatures range between 9 or 10 degrees Celsius, in light winds, Met Eireann has said.

Many places will be dry on Tuesday night, but there will be a some patchy drizzle, mostly on hills and coasts and there will be some fog also, as winds fall light southerly or variable.

Frost will be unlikely Tuesday night with lowest overnight temperatures 3 to 6 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday

Met Eireann has forecast for it to be rather cloudy at first on Wednesday with some patchy drizzle or light rain, mostly in parts of the south and west, but dying away.

Brighter conditions will spread westwards during the day and it is forecast to turn cooler with typical afternoon temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees Celsius.

Outlook

Afternoon temperatures will typically range between 5 to 8 degrees Celsius and sub zero night-time values can be expected where skies stay clear.

Current indications for Sunday and Monday suggest cloudier conditions may move in off the Atlantic, bringing some patchy rain to western areas during Sunday and more significant rain to many areas for a time Sunday night or early Monday but introducing milder air.
