The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has announced that tranche 6 of the Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3) will not open until next month.
In a update issued to approved farm advisors today (Monday, December 9), the department has confirmed that the next tranche of the scheme will open for applications on January 9, 2025.
DAFM said that this is to facilitate development work on the 60% grant aid rate for nutrient storage investments.
The closing date for submission of tranche 6 applications will take place on March 7, 2025, as had been previously advised by the department.

DAFM told advisors that while the system is closed to accept application submissions, drafting of proposals including uploading documents will be available with the exception of the new nutrient storage investments.
All other functions such as queries, document upload and submitting claims will continue to be available.
The department also noted that the payment claims facility for the scheme remains open.
TAMS 3, which includes 10 different schemes, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified range of farm buildings and equipment on their holding.
The closing date for the submission of applications under tranche 5 of TAMS 3 fell last Friday ( December 6).
