Technical Support Personnel

Agrinet, a farming software company which provides a range of herd, grass and financial software systems to farmers, is recruiting Telephone Support Personnel.

Agrinet recently won a tender to provide technical support to Teagasc on its grass software. As a result the company is expanding their technical support team.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available in Kells, Co. Meath. Responsibilities will include providing telephone support to farmers on Agrinet farm software systems and assisting in administration duties.

The ideal applicant should have an in depth knowledge of the agri-sector and in particular the dairy/beef sector. While a knowledge of financials including cashflows and budgeting is also essential.

Dairy Herdsperson

A dairy herdsperson is required on a 300 cow, spring calving herd in north Meath. This is a long term position working on a farm with excellent, modern facilities.

The successful candidate will be given opportunities to up-skill in all aspects of dairy farming, while their responsibilities will include milking, calf rearing, calving, and general farm work.

Normal working hours will be 7.30am to 5.30pm, while weekend work will be on a rotation basis. Accommodation can also be provided if required.

Part Time Office Administrator/Assistant Credit Controller

Progressive Genetics, who operate Ireland’s largest dairy and beef stud, is looking for a part-time Office Administrator/Assistant Credit Controller to work either a three or four day week.

Responsibilities of the role will include telephone and administrative duties, as well as dealing with farmer account queries.

Applicants must have an excellent phone manner, possess a general understanding of general accounting procedures/principles and have the ability to work under pressure.

Knowledge of the agri-sector and excellent computer skills would also be a distinct advantage.
