Casting for the Irish version of Gogglebox, the reality show where people watch television and their reactions are filmed, is underway and producers are looking for families from the farming community.

The show has proven to be a massive hit in the UK and now TV3 is looking to emulate its success with an Irish version which is due to air this September.

Producers are currently scouring the country observing people from all walks of life hoping to find the next Gogglebox sensation.

So if you watch TV and are extremely opinionated and think you could be the next Steph and Dom or the next Scarlett Moffat, then now is your chance as TV3 is encouraging people with a background in farming to get in touch.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for TV3 said that casting has been underway for a few weeks now.

It’s been going well but producers are particularly interested in meeting more potential families who have a rural/farming background.

“They are looking for genuine characters to let us into their home and give us their unedited thoughts on what’s on the box!”

So, if you’re interested in applying to feature on Gogglebox, you can apply by getting in touch with [email protected] or by calling 085 719 8486.
