Deirdre Ryan, director of quality assurance and Origin Green with Bord Bia, told Agriland during the National Dialogue on Women in Agriculture in Portlaoise that there is “still a big job to be done in terms of inclusion and gender equality” when it comes to women in agriculture in Ireland.

She said that Ireland also needs to increase the participation of women in farming and that women also need to be more “visible” in agriculture in Ireland.
