Zetor will unveil two new tractor line-ups at Agritechnica later this month.

The new Utilix and Hortus ranges will compete in the 40 to 70hp segment. However, pictures of the new tractors are, as yet, scarce – ahead of the official unveiling.

The Utilix range will be made up of the HT 45 and HT 55 models; the Hortus range will include the CL 65 and HS 65. They look set to become available early next year.

“In recent times we have been observing development in the segment of tractors with power below 80hp. The market share of this segment varies between 10 and 30% of total sales, depending on the market,” explained Robert Todt, sales and marketing director, Zetor.

“We have reacted by launching two new ranges in four equipment specifications.”

The new tractors will be equipped with 4-cylinder engines, with outputs of 43, 49 and 67hp.

The Utilix HT 45 has an output of 43hp, while the more powerful Utilix HT 55 has 49hp. The engines are Stage IIIA (emissions) compliant. These two tractors are equipped with three-speed hydrostatic transmissions, enabling the operator to control the speed of the tractor with two accelerator pedals and one brake pedal.

Maximum speed is 30kph. Wet brakes are standard. Total hydraulic flow-rate, thanks to two pumps, is 52 or 56L/min, depending on the model.

The Hortus is equipped with a 67hp engine, which meets the Stage IIIB (emissions) standard. This tractor is fitted with a mechanical transmission with 24 forward and 24 reverse gears; it also has a power-shuttle – a reverser that can change direction under load.

Maximum speed is 40kph. Like the Utilix models, wet brakes are standard. Two oil pumps provide the hydraulic system with a flow-rate of 60L/min.

“These new tractors will be small and light; therefore, they will be easier to control than bigger machines. They can be used not only in cultivation and gardening, but also in stables and other areas where there is limited space. Due to their manoeuvrability, they are also ideal for municipal services,” added Todt.

By introducing the Utilix and Hortus, we will expand our tractor portfolio to six ranges and 13 model types in 2018. We will cover segments from 40 to 160hp.
