Avonmore, one of Ireland’s favourite dairy brands, has relaunched it’s Christmas Cream range for the festive season.

This year’s range includes Caramel Whipped Cream, Brandy Whipped Cream and Bailey’s Whipped Cream, while Freshly Whipped Cream continues to be a firm family favourite.

It is believed that up to 1.5m households in Ireland will buy Avonmore cream this Christmas, with almost 300 pots expected to be sold every minute during Christmas week.

Research carried out by Avonmore shows it’s whipped cream is particularly popular at Christmas.

This is due to the product’s added convenience, as it is already whipped it can be served straight from the pot.

Meanwhile, 25% of consumers will purchase Avonmore Whipped Cream for Christmas desserts in addition to their regular cream, the research shows.

The popular dairy brand is aiming to encourage consumers to try it’s whipped cream range with the ‘Add a Splash of Magic’ festive campaign.

The campaign will be supported by TV advertisements as well as a partnership with RTÉ’s Today Show featuring celebrity chef Catherine Fulvio.

Other aspects of the campaign will include outdoor display advertising, in store sampling, increased digital activity and increased presence on social media.

A number of Christmas recipes featuring the freshly whipped cream range is available on their website.

These recipes cover everything from mince pies, to chocolate, to chocolate fondants and all feature the dairy brand’s Christmas Cream range.

Avonmore was established in 1967, when a new milk processing facility in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny was opened.

Both Avonmore Foods and Waterford Foods have since merged to create Glanbia plc, the international group which owns the ‘Avonmore’ brand in Ireland.

The Avonmore brand is one of the leading brands in both the Irish milk market and the overall selling grocery range.

The brand’s extensive range includes milk, cream, cheese, soups creamed rice, custard and spreads.
