Investigations are ongoing following the theft of umbilical slurry pipe from a yard in Co. Monaghan.

The pipe is believed to have been taken at some point between 3:30pm on Tuesday, February 9, and 11:00am on Wednesday, February 10.

In a statement, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “Gardaí responded to reports of a theft from a private premise in the Drumcaw area of Glaslough, Co. Monaghan, at 3:30pm on Wednesday, the 10th of February, 2021.

An amount of property was taken from the area. No arrests have yet been made and investigations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, local community Facebook page Tydavnet Village Community Centre highlighted a Garda alert, stating:

“Theft of 200m of umbilical slurry pipe which was taken from the Drumcaw area in Monaghan between 3:30pm on Tuesday, February 9, and 11:00am on Wednesday, February 10.

“Contact Monaghan Gardaí if you noticed anyone interfering with this piece of equipment [on] 047-7720.”
