Two separate raids resulted in the theft of a trailer and a chainsaw among other property amid a spate of robberies in the midlands in recent days.
In Co. Laois, Abbeyleix Gardaí are investigating the theft of a 8ft X 4ft Ifor Williams trailer, with a ladder rack.
According to local Gardaí, the trailer was taken on Wednesday night, July 29, between 7:00pm and 7:00am from the Granstown area of Ballacolla.
The trailer in question had a “02-KK” registration plate on it when taken but Gardaí noted that this plate may be discarded locally.
“If anyone saw anything suspicious in the surrounding area could they contact Abbeyleix Garda Station on: 057-8730580,” the Garda statement said.
According to investigating Gardaí, the tools and pots were taken between Thursday, July 23, and Monday, July 27, from a premises on Military Road, Birr.
“If you are aware of where property is currently or have been offered it recently please contact Birr Garda Station on: 057-9169710,” Gardaí based in the Laois-Offaly region said.
