Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Connacht and counties Donegal, Clare and Kerry.
Issued today (Sunday, November 22), the warning is valid from 2:00pm Monday (November 23) until 2:00pm Tuesday (November 24).
Heavy rain is expected later Monday, Monday night and Tuesday, which may cause some river and localised flooding, Met Éireann has warned.
Meanwhile, today will be cool and bright with sunny spells and scattered showers. Parts of east Leinster will stay mainly dry. Highest temperatures of 7° to 9° are expected, with a light to moderate west to southwest breeze.
On Monday night, persistent or heavy rain will affect much of Ulster, Connacht and west Munster. Lowest temperatures of 5° to 9° are expected.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with persistent or heavy rain over the western half of the country and a risk of localised flooding. There’ll be some showers further east.
