Various Management Roles

The Union Dairy Company is looking to recruit three candidates for management roles for a new project the company is opening in South Australia.

Available roles include a Plant Product Manager, a Quality Compliance Manager and a Milk Supply Manager.

The successful candidate will be working at a $80m (€56.3m) dairy processing plant which is scheduled to go online in 2017, processing over 200m litres of milk and producing more than 30,000t of milk powders and fats for export.

Production Manager

The Production Manager will be responsible for implementing as well as maintain best practice operations and the performance of the milk plant.

Quality Compliance Manager

The Quality Compliance Manager should also hold a third level qualification as a dairy or food technologist with appropriate food manufacturing audit capabilities and experience.

Milk Supply Manager

Meanwhile, the Milk Supply Manager will be responsible for the recruitment of suppliers, ongoing farmer support and transport and logistics.

An attractive salary is available for these roles, which will vary depending on the applicants experience.

Area Sales Manager

Abbey Machinery has an opening for an Area Sales Manager to operate in the Ulster region and border counties.

The company are leaders in the manufacture of precision diet technology, high output tankers, large capacity agitators, multi-purposes muck spreaders, accurate grassland toppers and fertiliser shakers.

The role will include expanding existing business and developing new accounts, it will also involve the responsibility for Q-Parts sales through the company’s Dealer partners.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three to five years of sales experience, while a degree in agricultural engineering or technology would also be beneficial.

Technical Sales Advisor

Grassland Agro is looking to hire two Technical Sales Advisors to serve in counties Meath and Waterford.

The company sources, produces and sell the complete range of conventional commodity fertilisers as well as the most comprehensive range of speciality fertiliser and soil conditioning products.

It also provides a full range of animal mineral blocks as well as bio-stimulants.

The role will include responsibilities such as the sale of the company’s product range in soil conditioning, fertilisation and mineral supplements direct to farmers through the local co-ops and merchants.

People interested in applying should have an excellent knowledge of farming as well as possessing a qualification relevant to the industry.

A knowledge of sales and advisory skills with regard to cultivation and animal husbandry would also be beneficial.

The role includes an attractive fixed annual salary, with performance bonuses and an uncapped commission structure. Business tools also include a fully-expensed company car, mobile phone and monthly expenses
