Agritechnica maintained its standing as the world’s largest dedicated agricultural machinery show this year drawing record crowds to Exhibition Grounds in Hanover, Germany.

According to organisers with around 450,000 visitors Agritechnica achieved a new record result with the figure representing an increase of seven percent by comparison with 2011.

Of the total approximately 338,000 visitors came from throughout Germany with a further 112,000 international visitors.

Showing their wares at the event were nearly 2,900 exhibitors from 47 countries displaying a complete programme of modern agricultural machinery and equipment as well as components and spare parts. Organisers says: “The international participation was outstanding, with 1,500 exhibitors representing an increase in the last ten years from 33 percent to the present level of 52 percent.

Ireland was also well represented at the event with host of indigenous companies making the trip including: Bale Cat, Cashels Engineering Ltd, Cross Agricultural Engineering, HI-SPEC Engineering Ltd, Major Equipment Intl. Ltd, McHale Engineering Ltd among others.

The next Agritechnica will be held from 10 to 14 November 2015 (Preview Days on 8 and 9 November) at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover.
