A farm and plant machinery auction is set to take place this Saturday (September 26) in Co. Laois.

The sale will be held by Hennessy Auctioneers – the latest of the firm’s monthly auctions, which resumed over the summer – at the old mart in Portlaoise.

The auction will kick off at 11:30am sharp, according to Hennessy.

Below is a sample of what will be going under the hammer…

Ahead of the sale, the auctioneer added: “All types of tractors, diggers, teleporters, dumpers, agricultural and plant trailers, grass, livestock, slurry and tillage equipment wanted to meet customer demand.”

Hennessy Auctioneers confirmed that it will only be selling farm machinery and big items that it would normally sell outside in the yard.

The shed auction of tools and small items is suspended until further notice, the auctioneering firm added.

The firm’s gates will be open for viewing for the rest of this week from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Interested bidders can also enter on Saturday morning from 8:30am, Hennessy added.

Prospective buyers can bid on-site in the yard on Saturday, or alternatively bid online. Mask-wearing will be mandatory on the day.

All bidders must register to bid at the auction or bid online. A refundable bidding deposit is required to register – €100 if attending the auction or €250 if bidding online. The auctioneer firm uses the LSL app with a catalogue of lots now available.
