Moth Night is the annual celebration of moth recording throughout Britain and Ireland by enthusiasts. Moth Night 2013 is being held from Thursday to Saturday 8-10 August.

To mark the event and raise public awareness of moths, Greenmount Campus in Antrim will host a special event on Saturday 10 August in Richardson’s Walled Garden.

A moth trap set overnight on Friday to catch these mysterious nocturnal creatures will be opened by Greenmount’s own Moth expert Rodney Monteith.

So make a note in your diary and come along to find out more about the variety of moths which fly about in our local gardens.

The event will commence at 9am and admission is free. Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult but pets cannot be accommodated.
