Flahavan’s launched a new range of oat drinks today (Thursday, August 20).

The Irish company has been busy expanding its product range. This launch sees the family-run business tap into the ever-growing market of plant-based alternatives.

The new line-up will be especially welcomed by Irish tillage farmers, who need premium end-products to boost on-farm profitability.

Oat drinks are growing in popularity and are a big hit, in particular, with baristas. It’s no surprise then that Flahavan’s has released a ‘Barista’ version of the drink.

The company stated on its website: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of our new range of vegan-friendly, no-added-sugar oat drinks for all of you oat-lovers looking for plant-based products for either lifestyle or dietary reasons.

“As Ireland’s oat experts, with over 200 years of oat-milling expertise, Flahavan’s is all about bringing wholesome healthy products to your breakfast table every day and we are excited to give consumers of plant-based beverages more choice.

All of our oat drinks are made with the highest quality Irish oats, which gives them a unique and subtle oaty flavour we’re sure you’ll love.

According to the company, the oat drinks will be available in stores this month. It is marketing three variants – namely ‘Vitamin Rich’, ‘Organic’ and the aforementioned ‘Barista’.

Importantly from an Irish (tillage) farming perspective, these drinks will provide consumers with locally-sourced alternatives to existing plant-based products that are typically shipped from distant countries.
