Bord Bia has claimed the fourth spot on the Reputations Agency’s annual ranking of companies based on the general public’s feelings about companies.

It is a new entry to the top 100 and jumps straight in at number four this year.

Bord Bia scored 79.8 points out of 100 in the Reptrak survey and also claimed the title of most reputable indigenous company.

Bord Bia came in behind Google, Boots and Kellogg’s, respectively on the survey.

Glanbia and Kerry Group also featured in the reputation survey, coming in at 33 and 34 on the survey with Glanbia scoring just 0.1 point more than Kerry Group.

Glanbia retained its 33 place spot from last yea, however this year it scored more points.

Coillte and Bord na Mona came in at 46 and 47 on the survey. Coillte dropped from the 31st most reputable company from last year and Bord na Mona dropped one place from last years survey.

Annual revenue and familiarity amongst the general public were the key criteria for inclusion in the survey.

The scores are statistically derived from four emotional indicators; trust, esteem, admiration and good feeling, the Reputations Agency says.

Respondents rate each company against these four statements and the Reptrak Pulse score of between 0 and 100 is derived from these four statements.

It says that it also studied how an organisation was rated across the seven dimensions of reputation, leadership, products and services, innovation governance, workplace, performance and citizenship.
