Jordan Auctioneers has on the market an excellent block of agricultural land, circa 33.3ac (13.5ha), located at Mayfield, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare.

The property is just off Junction 14 of the M7 motorway, circa 4km from Monasterevin; 7km from Kildare Town; and 16km from Newbridge / The Curragh.

Investment opportunity

The land adjoins the Junction 14 service station and, according to the auctioneers, it may have some long–term potential and would be an ideal investment opportunity.

Currently in several divisions with access off two local roads, the entire is all in grass with natural boundaries and hedgerows throughout. It is ideal for a range of enterprises, in addition to the possibility of obtaining planning permission to construct a residence.

Jordan’s is quoting €330,000 for the entire, and the auction is scheduled for Friday, October 2, at 3:00pm on the lands.

€1.51 million

Jordan’s recently conducted an auction for 76ac of top-quality tillage lands, located just outside Athy on the Kildare/Laois border.

It achieved a staggering price of around €20,000/ac or €1.51 million for the entire.

Auctioneer Clive Kavanagh commented after the sale, saying that: “Lands in the area generally command a premium due to their excellent quality and also the strong farmer base.”

In fact, Clive noted that often land around Athy “achieves a premium far above prices in other areas of the county and that has always been a trend; there is almost a micro market in the area”.
