Milder, drier weather is on the way and with it brings slurry and fertiliser spreading.

So, in order to help you through the job, we’ve come up with 10 tunes to rock away to in the tractor.

1.Fade – Alan Walker

First up is Alan Walker’s Fade, it’s by no means a classic (yet) but has great potential to become one. You’re about to start the job, so you’ll want the first tune to be fairly calm but lively all the same.

This one is like your porridge or bowl of Weetabix in the morning, it’s essential to start off the day.

2. Rhythm is a Dancer – Snap!

You’ve made it from the yard to the first field with slurry tank or fertiliser spreader in tow.

Next up on the cab playlist is Rhythm is a Dancer – an absolute classic. You’re now ready to start the job!

3. Call on Me – Eric Prydz

This is a song for the big field – when you’re flat out spreading slurry and the only company you have is the radio.

Feel free to sing away to your hearts content, sure no one can hear you!

4. DJ Sammy – Heaven

Next up is Heaven, a nice follow on from Call on Me and you’re reserving your energy for the rest of the job.

Heaven is a bit like a wedding party, it starts off with a slow set then the DJ arrives with some absolute bangers.

A good re-energiser.

5. Levels – Avicii

You’re halfway through now so it’s time to pick it back up again with a belter of a song.

A sort of new kid on the block, Avicii hasn’t made it into the tractor cab tunes hall of fame yet, but he’s well on the way.

Also, if you’ve a relatively new model of tractor, chances are you’ll have a good bass sound system, turn it up!

6. Born Slippy – Underworld

Time to head back to the classics. Nine years ago Underworld launched Born Slippy and ever since it’s been a constant in the cab.

No more to say on this song, just sit back and enjoy.

7.Maniac 2000 – Mark McCabe

An essential in every night club in Ireland and also an essential in the cab.

Some 10% of farmers have reported deafness due to blaring this for the full four minutes (not really). Drive like you’ve never driven before!

8. Living on a Prayer – Bon Jovi

Ok so you’re over halfway there now and a good rock ballad is called for. Bon Jovi is your only answer in this situation.

We also can’t think of any reason why not to include Bon Jovi on a cab playlist (sure that would be nonsense).

9. Sweet Child O’ Mine – Guns and Roses

Sticking with the rock music, you’ve almost the job finished. What else would you want but a bit of Guns n’ Roses.

10. Hotel California – The Eagles

You’re winding down and heading back to the yard after you’ve finished the job. You’re looking forward to a good mug of tea and a slice or two of sweet cake.

This classic is the only song you need.
