Zetor, Merlo and Komatsu distributor, McHale Plant Sales, is setting out its stall for the upcoming FTMTA Farm Machinery Show in Punchestown.

The show takes place over three days from Thursday, February 9, to Saturday, February 11.

Pride of place will go to the 160 horsepower, six-cylinder Crystal model, which is currently the flagship of the Zetor range, according to the company’s Sales Director John O’Brien.

“The Crystal gives Zetor an offering in the heavy-duty segment of the market, an area where we had no presence.

“Since its introduction some months ago, we have recorded a number of notable sales, the first being to a farm in Co. Armagh,” O’Brien said.

Zetor has two headquarters in Ireland, which are situated in Birdhill, Co. Limerick and Rathcoole Co. Dublin.

Also on the stand at Punchestown will be the latest Komatsu WA320-7 wheeled loader, in agricultural specification.

The brightly-coloured WA320-7 has been gaining significant ground amongst agricultural contractors in recent years, he said.

The latest Komatsu WA320-7 wheeled loader will also feature at the show.

The Italian-made Merlo telehandler range, finished in its distintive green colour, will also feature in the McHale display.

This year, the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show will play host to an additional 2,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space.

All stand space is sold out, while a waiting list has been in operation since before Christmas.

165 exhibitors will be in attendance, spread throughout four exhibition pavilions and a substantial outdoor display area.

The FTMTA Farm Machinery Show is one of the country’s largest dedicated farm machinery events and is also the largest indoor agricultural event in Ireland.

The last edition of the event, which took place in 2015, attracted over 18,000 visitors.

The show will open at 10am on each morning, while tickets will cost €15 if pre-booked online or €20 on the day.
