The Cooney Furlong Machinery Company was recently appointed as a Case IH dealer for counties Carlow, Wexford and Wicklow.

The company now offers up to 40 models from Case IH’s tractor line-up – spread over six ranges (from 55hp upwards).

Competitive packages are available on all – for either sale or hire.

These are ideally suited to fulfil the requirements of the company’s ever-expanding, discerning customer base.

A competitive hire fleet will be in place – providing fixed-cost reliability to customers.

A purpose-built showroom and parts/service workshop – together with a sizeable, fully covered, second-hand display area – is now under construction at the company’s site on the Old Dublin Road, Enniscorthy.

This location is ideal for customers, with a dedicated team of sales, service and parts experts providing a 24/7 service. In other words, the Cooney Furlong Machinery Company is uniquely situated in the bustling agricultural hinterland of the south-east.

Continued expansion is envisaged in the future.

The new Case IH franchise complements the well-established Vaderstad distributorship; it also sits well with existing agri-retail facilities on-site.

Moreover, this development has enabled the company to attract high-calibre personnel with many years of combined experience in Case IH parts and service back-up – bringing ‘old-school’ brand experience to a whole new style of dealership.

Walter Furlong – the company’s managing director – sees this investment as evidence of an ongoing commitment to local farming. He sees the fixed-cost reliability and tax efficiency of hire packages as a very worthwhile option for all tillage and livestock farmers.

We will deliver unbeatable levels of customer service – to back up the sales and hire packages to both a new and existing customer base.

The Case IH range offers farmers award-winning machines with many important innovations, including the Multicontroller joystick, continuously variable transmission (known as CVX) and the unique Hi-eSCR exhaust gas treatment system.

He added: “The new Maxxum with ActiveDrive 8 transmission won the prestigious ‘Machine of the Year’ [award] at the Agritechnica show in Germany. The DLG testing authority stated that it is the most fuel-efficient four-cylinder tractor it has ever tested.”
