Weather conditions are set to continue to favour those cutting silage and hay over the coming days, with little or no rain forecast until the latter half of the week.
Today, Monday, is expected to be another warm and sunny day, with highs of 20º to 25º.
The sunshine is likely to become hazier across more northern parts of the country, as cloud increases with more overcast conditions persisting near the northwest coast.
Meanwhile, drying conditions will be good or very good up until around midweek, with little or no rain and warm sunshine expected, according to Met Eireann.
A deterioration is expected thereafter with a return to a more mobile Atlantic weather pattern, it added.
Farmers will be provided with plenty of opportunities for spraying over the next couple of days, due to light breezes and minimal rainfall; conditions are likely to become more sporadic as the week goes on.
Soil moisture deficits are expected to increase, due to the dry weather forecast in the coming days; most soils are currently trafficable.
Tomorrow
Tomorrow, Tuesday, is set to be warm and humid again; hazy sunshine and highs of 19º to 26º, in southeasterly breezes, can be expected.
There will be a danger of isolated thunderstorms developing in the south of the country towards evening and gradually spreading northwards tomorrow night.
Wednesday
Temperatures are likely to continue to reach between 20º and 26º on Wednesday; it is set to be another warm and dry day, with hazy sunshine.
However, the heat and humidity will set off a number of heavy, thundery showers during the day and these will continue to occur into the evening time as well, according to Met Eireann.
Thursday
Conditions on Thursday are expected to remain mostly dry; it is set to be much fresher, with highs of 17º to 21º in southwesterly breezes.
Spells of sunshine and cloudier periods are also set to develop.
Outlook
The weather is forecast to continue to cool down on Friday; temperatures will revert back to more normal values of 15º to 18º.
Early indications for next weekend suggest that Saturday will remain mostly dry; rain is likely to spread eastwards on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to hover around the mid-teens.
