What do you get when you mix a John Deere, a drone and 10 inches of snow?

Prunty Farms in South Dakota in the US made this great video for Christmas.

‘Merry Christmas’ is carved out of the snow on the farm by Dan Prunty driving a John Deere 6400 and it was filmed by Adam Prunty who was the drone pilot and video editor.

According to the farm’s YouTube account, Prunty Farms is a fifth generation family farm in South Dakota.

The Prunty’s farm beef cattle, corn, soybeans and alfalfa.

While it’s not clear how long it took the Pruntys to carve out ‘Merry Christmas’ in the snow, the video shows that it’s been done very well.

They’re hoping that Santa will see it when he flies over on Christmas Eve!

Going by the current weather and ground conditions here in Ireland, the closest we’ll get to a video like this is a video of ‘Merry Christmas’ in a mucky, waterlogged field.

Looking to Christmas week, current indications from Met Eireann suggest that it will be a mixed week.

Heavy rain Monday morning will clear away eastwards during the morning and the afternoon will be dry with sunny spells.

There’ll be temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees and fresh to strong southerly winds at first will veer west to southwest with the clearance and moderate in the afternoon.

However, Monday night will see more wet and windy weather sweep up from the south and the outlook is that it will continue it will continue to be mixed for Christmas week.
