For the first time ever to celebrate National Potato Day Teagasc will host a national social media workshop on growing potatoes, which will be open to everybody for a live Q&A session on 23 August from 1-2pm.
This is an ideal opportunity for amateur potato growers to question the experts at Teagasc. Any type of question may be asked including areas suitability of soils, site, rotation, variety, advice on pre planting techniques, management in field, covering cultural control of weeds, pests and diseases and also storage of potatoes, influence of growing on taste and quality and so on.
Teagasc is calling on farmers to post questions from today, all questions will be answered on Friday. You can then join in the live Q&A session from 1-2pm.
