According to Met Eireann, there will be a few showers tonight affecting easter parts, while along the north coast some drizzle or light rain will develop. For the majority of the country though it will be dry tonight.

Saturday will be a mostly dry day apart from some showers in parts of Leinster and Ulster. It will be cloudy at first, but brighter spells will develop later in the day and temperatures will range from 17 to 21 degrees in light northerly winds.

There is high pressure on the horizon and the outlook period is looking dry with good spells of sunshine. Saturday night will become dry with light northerly or variable winds. Temperatures will fall to between 9 and 11 degrees.

Sunday will be dry and sunny with light northerly winds and temperatures up to between 18 and 21 degrees, although for a time it will be cloudier and cooler along the northwest coast, the Met Eireann forecast says.

Monday will be dry and sunny too and temperatures will rise a little further as the winds become mainly northeast to east in direction.

The rest of early next week will see warmer temperatures in to the low to mid 20s with light easterly breezes. By this stage it’ll be cooler along eastern coasts due to the onshore easterly wind and the higher temperatures will be in the west of the country.

The further outlook is for continued dry, settled conditions and warm weather.
