A number of Irish farmers have stripped off for the eight addition of the Irish Farmer Calendar, which is set to go global.

Christened “agri porn” by Irish television’s Ryan Tubridy, the calendar has received orders from the US, Australia, UK, Germany, Poland and France, Hong Kong, South Africa, with an international audience hungry to see the charms of Ireland’s beefy farmers.

The calendar features a number of Irish farmers posing topless with animals and last year’s edition went top of the Irish calendar charts beating One Direction.

Following hot on the heals of the Calendar Girls and the New York Firefighters, Ireland’s farmers have manned up, taken off their tops, and posted for the calendar, which supports Bothar.

This year’s addition features hunks of agricultural charm from the counties of Cork, Limerick, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Galway.

Resplendent with their farmers’ tans, they appear in their topless glory along with goats, rabbits, a highland cow, snails, sheep, a pig and a dog.

The calendar was shot on a snail farm in Co. Carlow, a pet farm in Co. Kilkenny and Newbridge House and farm in Donabate, Dublin.

Creator of the calendar series, Ciara Ryan says interest in this year’s calendar is far exceeding previous years and the feedback has been tremendous.

The first order for the 2017 calendar came from Massachusetts, United States, she said.

Both Ciara Ryan and photographer Ian Shipley have been taken aback with the response, Ian say’s

“All the lads were brilliant and managed to keep smiling despite being a bit cold minus their shirts,” Shipley said.

The calendar is now available from www.farmercalendar.com at a cost of €10.99 and it will be available in Calendar Club stores in Ireland and the UK later this month.
