Looking for a potential bargain? A farm machinery clearance auction will be held by Micheal Doyle Auctions tomorrow (Saturday, February 10) in Fenagh, Co. Carlow.

Kicking off at 11:30am, approximately 150 lots are expected to be offered.

The auction is being held on behalf of Balfarm Group. According to the auctioneer, Micheal Doyle, the equipment on offer is all locally-sourced.

Doyle added that the machinery up for grabs is “genuine farmers’ equipment” and in “very good condition”.

Judging from these pictures (see below), there will be a varied range of items on offer, including: tractors; trailers; tillage, grass and livestock equipment; sprayers; loaders; feeders; and even a combine.

Doyle gave a taste of what sort of lots will be present, noting that the sale will include: a Gregoire Besson plough; an Amazone Cirrus 4m drill; a John Deere F1145 lawn-mower; a Spalding five-leg subsoiler; and an Ifor Williams 12ft livestock trailer (with decks).

Tractors will include: a Massey Ferguson 135; a Ford 4000; a Steyr 8130; a John Deere 2040 (2WD) tractor with a loader; and a JCB Fastrac 2170 with 6,300 hours on the clock. There will also be a Deutz-Fahr 3640 combine harvester with a 16ft head.

Other items of note will include: a Spearhead 550 Excel hedge-cutter; a 3m Amazone drill and power harrow; a 12m Berthoud sprayer; a 1,000L Hardi mounted sprayer; an Abbey dung spreader; and a scattering of balers, ploughs and trailers.
