Over 2,900 exhibitors are expected to attend the Agritechnica agricultural machinery and equipment show in Germany later this year.
Agritechnica, which is scheduled to take place in Hanover from November 12 to November 18 2017, is the world’s largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment.
Organisers are expecting very good participation of domestic and foreign agricultural machinery manufacturers at this year’s event.
Based on previous participation levels at this time of year and the “high levels of interest again this year”, the organisers are expecting more than 2,900 exhibitors from Germany and the rest of the world.
Agritechnica Project Manager Marie Servais believes the interest levels from exhibitors indicates how highly the show is regarded.
“The previous registration result already impressively underlines the outstanding position of Agritechnica as a worldwide platform for agricultural machinery manufacturers and their suppliers.
We are still around nine months from the start of the exhibition, but we already know that all of the agricultural machinery companies with a global footprint will be present in Hanover in November.
Two years ago, 2,903 exhibitors from 52 countries participated at the international show.
A total of 451,000 trade visitors, including 98,000 from outside Germany, visited Agritechnica that year.
Green Future – Smart Technology
This year, Agritechnica is being presented under the theme ‘Green Future – Smart Technology’.
Agriculture faces great challenges when it comes to increasing the production of raw materials, food, feed in a sustainable way, according to the organisers.
Innovative technology, powerful varieties and precise fertilisers, as well as effective and environmentally compatible crop protection products, are the basis for overcoming those challenges, the organisers believe.
Crop protection, whether mechanical, chemical or biological, is playing an increasingly important role in modern farming.
Its precise implementation, efficiency and safety are prerequisites for sustainable operating success, and this means it regularly forms the basis for discussions within and outside the agricultural sector, the organisers said.
Taking the theme ‘Future Crop Protection – Responsibility needs ideas’, the special feature will allow manufacturers to present relevant technologies and systems.
It is hoped that this will create a unique information platform for visitors, to compare systems and offers in one place.
