Massey Ferguson 6270 tractor stolen in Co. Tyrone
A Massey Ferguson 6270 tractor was reportedly stolen from a farm in Co. Tyrone at the end of last week.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) are investigating the apparent robbery, which occurred sometime between 10.30pm last Thursday, May 11, and 8.00am Friday morning, May 12.
According to PSNI Constable Adam Gilpin, who is handling the case, there are different ways to get in touch if anyone has information.
He said: “If you think you can help us with our enquiries please call the 101 number quoting reference number 305 (date 12/5/17)”.
Gilpin said another channel to pass on information was through the independent Crimestoppers charity, which can be called on: 0800-555-111.
Following a brief online search, used Massey Ferguson 6270 models are valued anywhere in the region from €14,153 / £12,048 up to a high of €29,529 / £25,147.
Latest in a spate of robberies
This is the latest in a series of tractor thefts around the country. Tractors were also stolen in Counties Fermanagh, Laois and Carlow this year.Also Read: Stolen tractor and loader recovered in the midlands
The latest of these was a tractor theft in Laois. The tractor in question fortunately was later recovered. Searches are ongoing for the other missing tractors with rewards offered for their recovery.
