This weekend some 79 Macra members from across the country will receive leadership distinction awards at a special awards ceremony as part of its county officer training.
The training takes place in the West County Hotel, Ennis, Co Clare and the number of members to receive a distinction award has increased year on year.
Macra President Kieran O’Dowd paid tribute to work and commitment of Macra’s volunteer leaders: “Macra’s Leadership Training programme aims to provide opportunities for members to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes necessary for a leadership position in Macra and in other organisations. The awards scheme recognises the hard work and achievements of county officers working on a voluntary basis within Macra.”
