The Paris International Agri Business Show, SIMA – SIMAGENA, is taking place later this month and a number of Irish exhibitors will be present.

Irish forklift and straddle carrier specialists Combilift will be showcasing at the show. The Monaghan-based company have exported to 75 countries.

Dromone Engineering Ltd will also be present at the French show. The engineering company exports to 36 countries and provide hitching equipment and construction products.

McHale, the Mayo-based company specialising in balers and bale wrappers for silage and straw, will also have an exhibition stand at the Paris event.

This years SIMA show will be focusing on three key areas in agriculture; equipment, crops and people and territories and will have more than 1,700 companies showcasing 408 new products at the show.

SIMA has also organised technical talks for the show such as recycling and agriculture. Practical workshops will also be available once of which is the risks related to driving tractors over long periods.

The SIMAGENA aspect of the showcases animal husbandry and the quality of breeder farmers over several generations.

There will be over 200 exhibiting breeders from Europe and 250 dairy and beef cattle.

Eight breeds will be present at the show including Holstein, Aubrac and Limousin.

The central topic for this year’s agricultural show is ‘Innovation First’ and the show covers an area of 27ha of exhibition space.

SIMA-SIMAGENA takes place from February 22-26 in Paris Nord, Villepinte, France.
