“Lisduff Herd goes back to female bloodlines from my father Bartle McEnroe who began breeding Aberdeen Angus in 1948.

“At Lisduff we strive towards keeping the traditional traits to the fore in the Angus herd which has been working for our family for the last 70 years.”

On the sale McEnroe says to accommodate local and Northern Ireland farmers he is organising a viewing of the bulls on his home farm at Lisduff Maghera Virginia Co Cavan on Saturday the April 4, between 12.30 and 3.30 pm.

“This will give farmers an opportunity to look over the bulls mark there catalogue and on the day of the sale can buy the bull over the telephone and therefore do not have to be in attendance in Thurles at the day of sale, in this case the bulls will be delivered by the vendor to the farmer.”

McEnroe also said that on names of farmers that purchase bulls will be forwarded to a special draw to win €1,000.00 off the price of the bull’s price. The winner will be drawn from a hat at the conclusion of the sale.
