The Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, officially opened FBD Insurance’s first local sales office in Dublin earlier today.
The new sales office will serve as a business insurance hub, offering specialised “tailor-made protection” for small and medium-sized enterpises (SME)
Speaking at the opening, FBD’s CEO Fiona Muldoon said: “We are delighted to open our first sales office in Dublin, in response to our customers’ requirements and our growing relevance in Dublin as a specialised small and medium business insurance provider.
“This is a significant investment in both our sales office branch network and in our customer relationships. Face-to-face is how we believe our commercial customers want to do business with us.
FBD is committed to the small business sector as a vital sector of the Irish economy, whose insurance needs we know and understand.
Continuing, Muldoon added: “We are also continuing to improve and expand our products for Ireland’s small businesses. Last month we launched both a Professional Indemnity product and a Directors and Officers Liability product specifically for small businesses.
“These are in addition to our best-in-class products in property, public and employer’s liability and our great pension, fleet and other products,” the CEO said.
“Our Dublin manager, David O’Hanlon, and his team look forward to welcoming both existing and Dublin customers to our Drumcondra sales office.
“Given its great location, some of our customers from the rest of the country may even drop in on the road to Croke Park every year.”
Minister Donohoe also commented at the event, stating: “I am delighted to officially open FBD’s first Dublin sales office here in Drumcondra. This move is great news; not only for local business people, but also for consumers.
“It also demonstrates the attractiveness of Drumcondra as a base for businesses of all sizes. FBD is a well-established brand in Ireland and the decision to open the first Dublin office signals the strength of the company which I have no doubt will grow further in the years to come. I wish them every success.”
It has an established nationwide network of 33 sales offices and a Sales Service Centre in Mullingar.
