Interested in stripping off for the 2017 Irish Farmers Calendar? Shooting begins in the coming weeks for the next edition and 12 farmers are wanted to pose for the calendar.

Speaking to Agriland, Ciara Ryan the founder of the Irish Farmers Calendar said that they’re looking for 12 guys to be photographed for next year’s calendar.

“We need 12 guys for it and it’s difficult to get guys, they’re quite shy.”

It’s usually their spouse or partners that put them in for the calendar. The guys that do it love it and they get a lot of attention.

Ryan said that last year, interest in the calendar far exceeded previous years and the feedback was tremendous.

This year’s calendar will feature for the first time an owl and a snail farm, a bit different from previous issues!

The calendar has previously been christened as “agri-porn” by Broadcaster Ryan Tubridy and orders have been received worldwide, including from the US, Australia, UK, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Canada and South Africa. The calendar also helps to support the charity Bóthar.

Last year, it was announced that Ryan signed a deal with US publisher St Martin’s Press to bring topless Irish farmers stateside.

Pictures taken for the calendar over the past number of years will be compiled into a coffee-table book along with interviews from the farmers.
