The weekend will be dry and mild with temperatures reaching 20 degrees in places while next week will start off dry and bright also with sunny spells, Met Eireann says.

Today (Friday) will be a mostly cloudy day with patches of rain drizzle and fog. However, there will be some bright or sunny spells also.

Met Eireann forecasts that there will be highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees Celsius and tonight (Friday) will be dry with clear spells.

It will be rather cool tonight with temperatures falling between 5 and 8 degrees in light breezes and fog will develop in places, it says.

Looking to the weekend, tomorrow (Saturday) will be mostly dry throughout with sunny spells, according to Met Eireann.

IT says it will become generally cloudy in the west and northwest with scattered outbreaks of rain developing in the afternoon and evening.

It will be mild on Saturday with temperatures possibly reaching 20 degrees in places and winds will be light, variable in direction or southwesterly, Met Eireann says.

On Saturday night it will be mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain, it says. There will be mild temperatures typically 10 or 11 degrees.

There will be clearer fresher weather extending eastwards Saturday night.

Sunday will be a bright fresh day with sunny spells and it will be dry apart from some isolated showers, Met Eireann has forecast.

Highest temperatures on Sunday will be between 13 and 17 degrees, it will be coolest in the west and north in fresh westerly winds, it says.

Looking to next week, Monday to Wednesday will be bright, fresh days with some sunny spells.

According to Met Eireann, some light showers are possible early next week also with temperatures between 15 and 17 degrees.
