At the moment the weather for the coming week looks to be dry and settled with highs of 20 degrees in places early next week, Met Eireann says.

Met Eireann says it will be cool tonight (Friday) with some clear spells, a few showers are possible, but most places should be dry. There will be lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees Celsius.

Saturday will be bright and breezy, with fresh and gusty easterly winds and some bright or sunny spells, it says. There will be cloudy periods at times and top temperatures of 14 degrees with the best of the weather in the West, it says.

The weekend will be generally dry and settled with temperatures above normal. Sunday will be dry with clear spells Sunday night, Met Eireann says.

Lowest temperatures on Sunday will be between zero and 3 degrees with grass frost in many places and winds light to moderate, it says.

Looking to next week, Met Eireann says Monday will be a dry, bright day with good sunny spells in all areas, but some cloudy periods can not be ruled out.

There will be top temperatures around 12 or 13 degrees Celsius in eastern coastal fringes, due to an onshore easterly breeze, but 15 to 17 degrees Celsius elsewhere, Met Eireann says.

Monday night will be cool but dry with lowest temperatures between 3 and 6 degrees, it says.

Currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday look to be warm dry days with sunshine, although this could be hazy at time, it says. Temperatures will be in the mid to high teens in most places and highs of 20 degrees could be reached in areas.

On Tuesday there will be light to moderate easterly breezes but winds will be more variable in direction thereafter, patches of mist and fog may develop, Met Eireann says.
