Organised by the Munster Agricultural Society, the 173nd Show took place in Curraheen at the weekend. The Show is one of the oldest agricultural shows in Ireland and annually attracts over 25,000 visitors.

Over the three days of the Cork Summer Show, there was showing classes for horses, sheep, goats, poultry, and cattle, a display of rare breeds, pony club games, carriage driving and an international farriery competition.

The Cork Summer Show also included the IKC Open All Breed Pedigree Dog Show and the acclaimed Cork Summer Show Pet Dog Competition. Other winners on the day included the Champion Simmental and beef interbreed champion was James Brown, Glanworth, Co Cork’s, ‘Corbally Vintage Katie’. The Southern Milling Super Graze high fertility Holstein Friesian premier cow championship winner was ‘Laurelmore Duplex Impala’.

The Munster Agricultural Society All Ireland Pedigree Beef Heifer Calf Championship Winner was Tom Ryan’s ‘Kilcommon Ina’.
