GLAS Farm Planners is a nationwide consultancy service offering Glas Farm Planning services to farmers all across Ireland.

Vacancies are available within the company for graduates in agricultural science to promote the company’s services and assist farmers with the GLAS scheme application.

Responsibilities will include assisting the company’s existing and future clients with their farm scheme applications including GLAS applications, GLAS nutrient Management Plans, and Basic Farm Payment applications.

They will also be expected to promote and provide advice on all other farm schemes within the Rural Development Programme including TAMS applications and the Beef Data Genomic Programme.

The right candidate should have a level 8 degree in Agricultural Science with a Soil Science module while they should also posses excellent communicational skills with a flair for engaging in conversation.

Breeding Advisor and Sales Person

Eurogene AiS and LIC Ireland is currently recruiting for the position of a Breeding Advisor and Sales Person.

This role will initially be a fixed-term contract, while the ideal candidate should have an excellent knowledge of New Zealand grass based systems.

Requirements for this position include having an excellent ability to navigate ICBF’s Herd Plus Reports, with good computer skills also being an advantage.

The right candidate should have excellent communication skills with a positive attitude. Hands on experience on a dairy farm would be an advantage but is not a necessity.

Nutritionist/Technical Manager

Meanwhile, Aurivo Co-op is currently looking for a Nutritionist/Technical Manager to help further develop their animal feed range and support their farm commerical specialist team.

The vacant position is based at the co-op’s feed mill in Ballaghadereen, Co. Roscommon.

This position is ideally suited to someone who would enjoy effective interaction with farmer and trade customers, advising and designing solutions to support feed efficiency and profitable livestock and milk production

Responsibilities would include supporting the farm commercial specialist team in providing the best technical expertise to customers, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities.

Technical Sales Representative

The Cooney Furlong Grain Company is looking for a Technical Sales Representative for the south Wexford area.

The company’s core business is the assembly, drying and marketing of grain, with an important part of that being the supply of seed, fertiliser and agrochemicals to their grower customers.

The successful candidate will receive an excellent salary, performance bonuses, a company vehicle, mobile and laptop.

This position will see the right candidate take responsibility for all sales activities in the assigned area, while developing and implementing agreed upon sales targets.

An ideal candidate should have a third-level agri-related qualification. Experience in a similar advisory/sales role, preferably in the agri-sector, would also be an advantage.
