‘CEO of the Year’ award for head of Abbey Machinery
Abbey Machinery’s Clodagh Cavanagh received a ‘CEO of the Year’ award last week, at the IMAGE ‘Businesswoman of the Year Awards’.
Cavanagh, along with winners of other categories, received her accolade at the Clayton Hotel Dublin.
Now in its eleventh year, the IMAGE Businesswoman of the Year Awards champions business women’s contribution to Ireland’s economy – and their role within the Irish business community at home and abroad.
The judging panel included Bobby Kerr, entrepreneur and presenter of Newstalk’s Down to Business; also on the panel was Enterprise Ireland’s Sarita Johnston.
The Irish abroad
Meanwhile, Abbey Machinery – like many Irish manufacturers – had a busy run of days at the recent Agritechnica machinery show in Germany.
Minister of State Pat Breen was among the many visitors to the stand. Abbey Machinery’s exhibit, together with those of other Irish companies, was a familiar stopping point for the significant number of Irish farmers, agricultural contractors and dealers that travelled to the event.
Also on the Abbey Machinery theme is this recent picture (below).
It shows a colour-coded tanker – in custom Fendt green to match the tractor up front. This tanker is actually located in Staffordshire (UK).
It’s a 4000RT model, shod on 800/45 R26.5 tyres; it’s equipped with a 6m-wide trailing shoe.
