Teagasc have announced two beef-related farming events for the month of August, one of which is this week.
In its beef newsletter, Teagasc outlined an event on the Sallins farm of Heinz Eggert of Sheplands Farm on Tuesday August 13.
Breeding efficiency will be one of the major focuses on the day along with land drainage and profitability. Tours will start at both 2-6pm, and the event will be signposted from the N4 and the M7.
There’s also a second Teagasc farming event on the organic beef farm of Mark Duffy near Ballybay, Monaghan on Wednesday, August 28 starting at 2pm. Teagasc say grassland management, feeding cattle at grass and financial performance will all be covered on the day.
