AgriLand, now Ireland’s largest agricultural news publisher, has been chosen by the National Ploughing Association (NPA) to ‘live stream’ this year’s National Ploughing Championships.

The stream will be available on AgriLand’s website and across all devices – including app and mobile.

It will also be available directly from the NPA’s website.

AgriLand will broadcast live over the three days; coverage will kick off each day at 12:00pm and run for five hours right through until the early evening.

It will encompass ‘live studio broadcasting’ from AgriLand’s own marquee; there will also be roaming camera crews on-site – capturing the sights and sounds from Europe’s largest outdoor event of its kind.

The coverage will be fronted by AgriLand staff Claire Mc Cormack, Rachel Martin, Richard Halleron and our roving reporter Sarah Delaney. Broadcast partners for the ‘stream’ will include the NPA, Teagasc, Roadstone, Livestock Improvement Company and Irish Angus Producer Group.

Speaking about the announcement, Cormac Farrelly, AgriLand managing director, stated: “We are delighted to be in a position to bring a live stream of the National Ploughing Championship to our readers and the wider public.

“It’s an amazing event; we hope that the plans we have in place will give people a real insight into what happens at the ‘Ploughing’ – capturing the buzz that it creates for both exhibitors and visitors.

We are also delighted to have been chosen by the NPA to be its live stream partner. It’s a reflection of just how much the agricultural industry has embraced digital media.

“We have seen huge growth in traffic to the site over the last 12 months; we are keen to keep innovating to ensure that we remain number one in our audience’s mind.”

Remember, of course, to visit the AgriLand stand at Block 4, Row 15, Stand 340, where you will be able to meet some of our ever-expanding team.
